Another Cessna...

Post by mgchristy »

For $40 USD, I think I'll take a pass on this one. Definitely looks a little rough around the edges. However, I was...err...intrigued by one of this product's bullet point "features", as listed on the Simmarket site:
* Textures are HQ and have rust and seagle shit!
http://secure.simmarket.com/fly-sim-ser ... 2004.phtml

I hope the developer meant 'seagull' and not 'eagle', as I imagine the latter would leave one heck of a mess.

I couldn't open many of the pics for some reason but what I saw I thought was a bit of a joke to be payware. :$

Bl**dy 'ell, tell me, in the real world of aviation would you honestly want to fly a Cessna in that condition? :worried:

Nigel.

He might have meant 'beagle'...judging by the looks of it. :hide:

I think you're all being very unfair. The idea of creating models of aircraft that are, er, nearing the end of their life is a great idea. In fact they've missed a few tricks themselves. Under the heading 'Extra Animations Include' I'd like to see things like: 'throttle comes away when pulled' 'radio transmission cuts out unpredictably' 'instrument lights flicker on and off when landing' 'slow puncture in left main gear'.

Perhaps all that will come with their next release - which should be that aircraft that was held together by duct tape after the bear attack

I wonder how many people will take up their bundle offer. For 21.55+VAT euros EACH, you can have both the FSX and the FS9 versions. Why on earth would anyone want to do that?

But seriously ( ;) ) what an opportunity for bored developers. What about the Brooklands collection with the VC10 covered in green slime and EP with three working engines and animated models of the volunteers drinking tea and kicking starter motors.
