Thanks for the welcome Garry. :) Over the last while, I've come to value other's opinions on our work, it serves to make us better as developers and to refine our projects to a higher degree of quality. Being open-minded to the ideas and criticism of other people in the community is the only way to progress, in my opinion, the community after all, are the people who use our projects and are the driving force behind continuing to develop for the sim. :)

Indeed Ron :agree:
Also, on a forum such as this you will often get talking to folks who have real experiences of the various types, Pilots, engineers, dispatchers....you name it and you'll soon be talking to someone who is, or knows someone who is.

One thing you won't find here are folks who know something you don't and won't tell you.........we try to be an easy going bunch and it seems to pan out that way :)

Thanks Garry, I'll look/post around and see if I can find someone who has real-world ATP experience, this being a British forum, I would imagine my chances here may be pretty good. :) Our current ATP was created off of available data that we could find, but sadly we don't know any real ATP pilots to test it and give us feedback, but surely Martyn would make appropriate adjustments to the FDE if we could find an ATP pilot to test it. It does help too when you have a forum with people who know something or have experience with something and are willing to lend a hand and talk to you when they can. :)

As I can't do better, I'm in no position to judge or pick at a model, but could it be FSX Native please, bump & specular maps? :)

FSX-native models with respective features are another item that I'm trying to make viable in the group. Most of our developers use FS9 almost exclusively because of the problems that they have had with FSX over the last 4 years, so it makes development of FSX-native items more challenging, it may be something more likely to happen after the release of MS Flight, pending it is an overall more stable release than FSX. I've been trying to sell it within the group, but it's something we can't force developers to do, so don't count on it, if it happens, just be happily surprised. ;)

Hi Rick, ARMA2 is an addicting game once you get flying that A-10! Jeff Favignano and I use the Operation Arrowhead and British Armed Forces expansions with the original ARMA2, that allows for Combined Ops gameplay, and then we use the ACE mod, available at www.armaholic.com. The A-10 comes with the OA expansion, you don't need the ACE mod to fly it, but the ACE mod does add quite a few extras and a lot more realism to the game, with the A-10 specifically, it provides awesome new sounds (the sounds heard in the video) for the engine and GAU-8 cannon. At Armaholic.com, you can also find a lot of other extra addons like missions and vehicles (some of the planes are FS port-overs, for example their is an AN-225 available that is Thomas Ruth's FS9 AN-225 model converted for use in ARMA2). There is also a mod that turns ARMA2 into the Vietnam War, I haven't tried it yet, but I'm seriously considering it, www.armanam.com. Hope this helps! ;) There is a 7 or 8 hour time difference between you and Jeff and I, but feel free to get in contact with us sometime and we can try to get on a server, it's always nice to have pilots on the server who know how to fly. :)
