Premaircraft BAe 146-200 released

Post by virginblue »

Quick heads up that the -200 has been released. Three liveries included: Flybe, Cityjet/Air France and Airlink:

Thought it woud keep things a bit more manageable to have a separate thread as undoubtedly repaint requests for the -200 will come pouring in sooner than later.

OK, OK, since you guys are begging for suggestions , how about these five...

Btw, I stumbled across this one - anyone in the know, why Transavia leased the FLightline 146?

Thanks for the HU!

I wonder how the Premaircraft 146-200 compares to Jon Murchison’s 146-200. Has anybody with both done a comparison?

That's true, but as the Transavia BAe 146 got full colors, it must have been a long-term lease. It surprised me because back then Transavia was pretty much a typical charter airline and not a scheduled carrier using regional aircraft.

However, further research shows that the 146-200 was used on Transavia's only scheduled short-haul route in 1997 - from AMS to LGW.

Not that unusual for short term leases to be painted in full livery

Look at the recent EasyJet 757's.already gone back.

One Viscount was leased to Aer Lingus for six weeks and then BEA for six weeks and then MEA, and was fully painted each time.

My understanding is that it was five months. Adter all, it deoends on whether or not the airline is willing to cough up the dough to have two paintjobs.

In easyjet's case, it was also a legal issue as easyjet is required under the franchise agreement with Stelios to use the "easy..." corporate identity on their planes when they sell flights as easyjet.

Haven't had the time to try them out properly - all I have been able to do was to take Her Majesty on the Queen's Flight 146-100 on a short hop from Barrow-In-Furness to Blackpool. First impression is that it is a nice model. I was not too impressed about the PAD Saab 340, so that is a nice change.

Hi Tony, rebuilding my PC at the mo so haven't had a proper flight yet. I think Visually its very good. I'm not a massive fan of the FDE, but then to be fair to the guys at PAD, they always said it wasn't for the push every button brigade. My plan is to try it with the ML panel. :cpu:
