Weather themes

Is possible in FS2004 to save weather that I have created as a theme? I currently have it saved as a flight but would like something more permanent.

Hi AD..

Yes.. start a situation/flight.. fiddle with the weather until you get it to how you want it to look.. then save that flight. Everytime you start with that flight.. your weather settings remain ;) If you open with 'Select a flight'.. that exact flight will open including the time and month. If you make it a default flight, the same criteria will remain but.. it will adjust to the time and season you are currently in :) That's how mine works anyway ;)

As Dave says it's quite possible. :agree:

I've had the same weather on my start up for yonks

In the weather setting you can have load real world or customised.....with real world unchecked it will restart with the weather you are using when you save the flight. :)

I might try that and see what happens.

Update: I have saved and backed up the flight that has all of my settings. Probably alot easier than trying create a theme and not get the results I currently have.

Speaking of weather:

Before I start trawling the Web for possibilities, does anyone know of any plug-in or the like for FSX that makes changes in the weather appear less abrupt, especially near or on the ground? As the year slides toward winter, I'm seeing more of the astonishingly sudden dry ground immediately after some rain...
