Hello,
Would anyone know where I could find the fuselage crossection dimensions for the VC-10.
I am a huge fan of the VC-10 and am looking to create a model for FSX.
Bit of a "newbie" to the forum, but seemed like a suitable place for my request.
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Matt

Hi Matt and welcome
Max fuse width (external) is 12' 4". I must have the external height here somewhere but can't put my hand on it at the mo. Have you checked out www.vc10.net ?? It's a good place to look for all things VC10

Dave,
Thanks for the help. VC10.net was my first port of call, nothing specifically on dimensions other than cabin dimensions.

Matt

Re: VC-10 Help Needed
Garry,
Thanks for the welcome.
Yes, I have got three-views. I like to start by converting them into splines within 3dsmax. In order to have some form of accuracy, I like to have the known dimensions of the fuselage to work from, and I can see how accurate the 3-view is and adjust from there.
I really want to make sure I get the VC-10 right, she is a beauty.

Matt

Hi Matt
Max fuselage depth is 14 ft 1.5 in.
Max width from the same source is 12ft 4, same as DB gave.
Make a good one.

David,
Thank-you for that, much appreciated. Have enjoyed your VC-10 very much over the years.
It only goes to prove that the 3-view is quite off, much work ahead by the looks of it.
