It does port quite well, Leif, although I flown it since Dave (both of them ) started producing the rest of the catalogue!
I think there is a panel upgrade somewhere, but I'm not sure where I got it from.
There are also a bunch of repaints for it, but some of them are fictional as the Mk 5 as the wrong type - a situation now largely corrected thanks to Dave Molyneaux and Peter Watkins in particular.
Hope you enjoy the world of Auster in FSX or 9, Bob!

Thank you Myles and Leif, just what i have been looking for. Unfortunately I still have the download zip file problem stating that the file is corrupted and due to my limited computer knowledge I don't know how to get round it. Perhaps it is my security system which is way above my head. I am quite good with engines and airframes but computers defeat me. Any advice gratefully received. Bob.
I think it's the model itself matey. Some of us (me included) have difficulty downloading files of a certain size from the Pond.. the reasons for which baffle both the downloaders and the Pond team. You can watch the download progress and all appears to be well but suddenly, it goes from wherever it was to 100% and reports download complete. However, while the file looks good.. double clicking on it will give the 'file corrupt' message.. not surprising as the file is incomplete. My guess is, this is what Bob is getting too.
I do not think it is necessarily the users link speed, but somewhere in the chain it seems to have a restriction. I find it best to download from the Pond in the morning from France, i.e. when most of the US of A are asleep for some reason!

Download problems from the Pond (Classic British Files) are apparently the users fault for not having a fast enough internet connection
Thank you Dave but the effect remains the same although at present I have FS2004 loaded and not FSX, if that makes a difference.
It is of interest albeit of little consolation that others with more computer experience than myself suffer the same problem. Admittedly broadband is slow in these parts, 100 Mbps if that makes any difference. And all I want to do is try these well modelled aircraft! Life should be simpler.
100Mbps ? If so you are very lucky, I've just tested mine 1700 hrs local, to Paris & am getting 0.67Mbps download & .27Mbps upload. Admittedly when downloading in the morning I can & have seen 1.25Mbps. Are you sure that your quoted speed is not just your LAN connection, i.e. Your ethernet connection between your computer & your Broadband box?
I just Googled broadband speed test & used the first one that seemed OK (www.speedtest.net).

Thank you for the tip, have tested and it came up wit 88 mgb. Bob.
