A tweek here a tweek there to be able to use with acceleration nothing more . No virus give me a break that comes from a novice pc user doing stupid things . I am no more than a avid flight simmer
who enjoys the models that are built by some of you to the point that I spend a little time to be able to use with acceleration and wish to share this with my freinds via my web site
they are freeware and we or myself have never taken credit for anyones model ever nor would I allow any one to on my site .Name calling no getting pissed yes so that is not true
As for you rick I have nothing bad to say and yes we did argue in my forums for a spell and yes I did remove them because I do not allow the sort of talk that you and myself were disscusing
for the reason that it is not appropriate for the younger members of my site to veiw . Actually you are one of my favorite modlers behind milton shupe... sorry .
Skippy bing comes off as quite cocky and content with a witch hunt . Ok now what I do is self contained to my site and then taken by others to various sites as I only post on my site . My downloads
are provided on my own servers at my cost . At any given time I have 2 websites mirrored incase of failure and fully backed up on two external hard drives all at my cost . so we will not be going away anytime soon
now that that is said this has only to do with your fans wishing to use your models in acceleration . Any time you update or build new we will replace the ones on our site with those very happily as that is all we have done
is to provide a quick fix to use until you do so if at all . Your fans come to me for help and I help . I mispell and dont recheck so dont mock me I already know Hate Me , Love Me I dont really give a sh!*
Not hunting for fame just some hobbiest to fly online with

You are missing the point

When you are told to leave things alone you should do so........You are breaching the terms you accept when downloading

The terms are set by the copyright holder and can be what ever they choose them to be.

Just who do you think you are, do you think you are above all this??

You actually cause more problems than you think you solve, emails are sent to the original author because your 'fixes' have broken things.

Which versions of Sim it runs in is not up to you, but the modeller

You should not have argued with Rick, you should have apologised to him and withdrawn all your versions of his files.

As to insulting one of our members, people like you are always afraid of the truth.............you should stop what you are doing.

This is why folks get upset...........you just won't stop interfering.

Some may be happy with what you do. Ask permission first, which is after all, good manners and showing respect (you might need to look those up) and then there would be no problems, you would receive a yes or no and everyone would be happy. It's not what you do but the way you go about it that is so, so wrong.

It is what it is I did not post here to apoligize or to kiss any butt . as for asking permission that was done early on with no reply , so I did decide to do what I want and still do .A few did answer and permission was given but for the most
my butt kissing ability does not seem to be present as no reply was given . I solve aqny problems related to my site so any others are a minimal amount of stray users . So here I am In your face not hiding like some "muppet "
Its funny other than Rick the others havent even contacted me on the issue . But then again I am so hard to find with just my email posted on the home page . If you wish to have a face to face or as close as we can get I will talk to you on my GSC voive server any time I am on . who knows we might even like each other by the time we are done . well maybe with the exeption of skippy .

Ted, why don't you just stop hosting the models that the designers object to, and provide links to their locations at places like Avsim, Simviation and Flightsim.com ? All the problems would be solved in an instant.

You say you asked for permission on some models and got no reply...well, isn't it obvious that if the designers do object to you hosting them, then you don't have permission ? No need for butt kissing, no need for face-to-face.

In fact, now you are registered and posting here, why not make the definitive request for permission here in this thread ? If you get a firm yes, then host them. If you get a No, or no answer at all, then don't.

Problem solved, eh ? :)

Ted.T -
In my considered opinion you are just a thief.
Please remove yourself and the NorCal Prop Club from the flight sim scene.

The developers on this site, like many others throughout the flightsim world, give their time and effort voluntarily and freely to make our hobby what it is.

While it has to be said that there are models out there which are superb, others are pure rubbish (although not on this site), but good or bad it is their work, and you have no right to steal and alter anything without their specific permission to do so (getting no reply to emails cannot be considered as getting specific permission).

I also have to comment, that if the changes you make to these models are as bad as the changes you make to the English language, then god help us.

Perhaps I've been naive. I am a registered member of NorCal, (although I've downloaded very few of your files), but I didn't realise just what you and the site was up to.........I certainly won't be back, and will be pointing my flightsim colleagues to this thread.

To Rick and all the other developers here, thanks guys, your efforts really are appreciated.

Ted, It is very obvious from your response to my earlier reply that you either don't read posts properly, or, you fail to understand them

My feeling is you just don't care enough to take note of what was being said.

Take note, the decent people in the Flight Sim community do not like this......it not so much about what you do as the way you go about it.

If permission has been sought and no reply received, why do you, and others like you, assume then the copyright is void.

If you DO NOT get permission, either by reply or by default, then you MUST NOT proceed with what you wanted to do.

I am puzzled as to why you mention removing posts on your forum as you have younger people reading, well I can say you do not set a good example to them.

You do just what you want, and when someone rightfully complains, you argue then delete as your ego does not allow criticism.....must be as if you felt justified you would not feel compelled to hide the evidence.

You represent a resented area of Flight Sim that is one of the reason developers give up.

You have received bad press on other forum, but sorry, I'm forgetting that you are right and the whole World is wrong.

You take about cost

This sight is run at cost to some here and it costs a small fortune to develop freeware.

Programmes Pilot notes, plans often have to be bought.

Freeware mean at no cost to you but at cost to us...then you feel that you can just take that and use the fact that you have to pay for your site as some sort of credit.

So please,

Do the decent thing and remove everything you don't have express permission for.

On the other hand....
