A few Flying Legends photos.

Had a rather good day, though it seems the entry price is inversely proportional to the number of participating aircraft these days. Half the TFC machines stayed in the hangar, including the Hawk, F4F, F6F and Corsair.

Still, the weather was perfect and the balbo was respectable at the end. Apart from the usual gaggle of Spitfires, P-51s, BBMF and Sally B, here's some of the others...




Skyraiders...long time since I've seen three together:







Two Sea Furies, which performed well together









The star of the show, an I-16. Did a great display, though it had to orbit to the north while the pilot hand - cranked the undercarriage up. 200 turns it takes, apparently








A brace of Yaks, all of which flew together

Dakota Norway's gorgeous DC-3, which also did a great display, glinting in the deep blue sky. She has to be one of the most beautiful aircraft on the European airshow circuit, and a credit to all involved with her.

Was a bit warm, but can't really complain

The show was fine, but I felt it was lacking that extra "something" this year.

Great shots, Dave. Yes it was a bit warm..my daughter was starting to wilt a little, and we eventually had to find some shade. A good day though, and its rekindled my enthusiasm for Flying Legends and airshows in general.

The silver ex-RNHF Sea Fury. Is that based in the UK?
I remember seeing that fly in formation with the Firefly and Swordfish. Happy days.

I was under the impression she had been acquired by The Fighter Collection, which would actually make Duxford her home base.
