Lynx panel

Post by J0hn »

First off, I'm not sure if this is the right forum section - it's about the Alphasim Westalnd Lynx FS9 model.

I have tried this in FSX and it looks very nice, flies even better, but has that old problem, that the gauges are simply too old for FSX (FS98 jobs).

The VC panel still looks okay - no black holes making it look unsightly.

Would it be possible for me to simply replace the gauges with default FSX ones - or SimFlyer ones, for that matter, as I have them all.

Can I simply go down the list of gauges in the panel.cfg file and replace the gauge names with those from, say, the JetRanger?

Hi J0hn :hello:

I've tried the Navy Lynx in FSX and get odd glass as well as the gauge problem. You should be able to do as you suggested.. use the equivalent gauges off the Jet Ranger as the VC gauges on the Lynx were only projections.. not 3D ;) Some resizing may be necessary and they may look a little out of place but they'll be better than holes :)

Hi Dave :hello:

That's great, thanks - wouldn't want to miss out on my fave Brit chopper for the sake of a couple of gauges :) .

My glass texture is fine, though :dunno:
