Re: Llandedr....some cool pics
I can recommend Wendy Mill's book "Target Rolling" mentioned in the discussion, I got a copy of it (signed!) from Harlech Post Office, gives the human side of the airfield as well as it's history and has some wonderful pics.
My GP was the last medical officer at the base according to Wendy's book!
Also, a reminder there is a Facebook page devoted to the campaign to re-open the airfield which has hit the obstructive machinations of the unelected Snowdonia Society who a group of outsiders who seem to live in a bubble and have forgotten that it was an active airfield up until 2002, and with unmanned jets at that. Although it's not going to be able to do a great deal as a Facebook group, with over 1200 members we already outnumber those who signed the Snowdonia Society's e-petition and as Tesco are fond of saying "every little helps". http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/grou ... 9029487127

Hi,
Of course you can re-live the Llanbedr Aerial Target service in FS9 by downloading the scenery and AI package from the Pond. AI and flyable Jindiviks, Meteor WK800, Canberra Target Tug, DH Devon Transport and more. Coupled with the F29 VFR scenery, you're really there......

Thanks for the link.
It's nice to see what was happening on the other side of the fence. I spent several week-long holidays during the early 80's camping on the campsite you can see in some of those shots. It was a great place to sit and watch aircraft all day.
