John.. you can't just delete things like scenery from FS without deleting it from 'within' FS first. With luck, what you've removed will be in your recycle bin (if you still have one in Vista) and if so.. restore it then start FSX again. If you really DON'T want that bit of scenery, open FSX and delete it from settings/scenery library first
No, fortunately.. aircraft can come and go as they please, the only exception I can think of being if you have 2 models (1 aliased) and even then.. nowt drastic will happen. You have to have a panel of some description so the model using the panel on the aircraft you've just binned won't show and/or you'll get an error but you wouldn't do that anyway Likewise, if the aircraft not deleted used the soundfile from the deleted aircraft, nothing drastic should happen. In FS9, the aircraft will default to the Cessna (regardless of what it is).. not 100% sure of how it works in FSX but regardless, it's not life threatening
Hi All.
I fired up FSX for the first time, since breaking my wrist in november,i got the same message,i have not deleted anything from FSX,and the only scenery that i can recall being added, was when i installed the aerosoft cat.
I also got a strange message before FSX shut itself down, while taxing the pmdg js41,DEMO TIMED OUT FSX will shut down, seeing as i have the full delux version +excelleration pack installed and registered, this was a shock as well as annouying.
regards alan.
This is odd Did you ever have the FSX demo installed??
As for the scenery error, the best thing I can think of off the top of my head would be to uninstall the cat completely, restart FSX and let it build the cfg and if no error, try and install the cat again.
I only use FSX high days and holidays and for some time now I've been getting a box when FSX has closed saying fsx.exe - Application Error. The instruction at "0x200c7489" referenced memory at "0x06d2a4e0". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program. I only ever see this when I've closed FSX but I now see it almost every time! You are not alone in having a wobbly FSX
Hi Dave.b.
I never installed the demo version,so it was a strange message, which i have not had before,i will have to play around, and see if i can track the culprit down,as for deleteing any files, the only thing i installed deleted then reinstalled was silent hunter 4,which was about all i could manage after breaking my wrist,as i did not have much strength or movement in my right wrist, for more than 4 months,i am still not able to lift the things i could before the accident, but i can now get most of the movement in my wrist,so i can start playing with the fs9/fsx sims again.
regards alan.
I think it does that if it hasn't activated or looses the activation registry key. You haven't used something that "cleans" the registry recently have you?
Hi Ben.
No i have done nothing with the registry, that would account for that,i will have to play around with the fsx/js41,to see which is the culprit,it might just be a one of glitch,i hope.
