I remember it taxing up at LFC in the early 60s.

If I remember correctly, Bill Lyons did a Apache for FS2004.
The Automobile Association also owned the Gipsy Moth G-AAAA and used to deliver messages sometimes and perhaps, small componants by meeting a patrol man and throwing it out in a flagged cannister.

Bill Lyons models can be idiosyncratic in the use of textures, which can make them very difficult to paint. There is a black and white one by Leon Louis for the Apache, so it depends what detailing is required for the AA.
Wasn't G-AAAA originally owned by Sir Geoffrey de H himself? I read that he got an agents discount from the sales department when he bought it, no freebies for the boss in de Havillands.
Always wondered if it had a red or maroon colour scheme when he owned it. I've seen a few pictures in the standard Moth tome, Ace Chrissie present, but they are all b&W of course.
HOWEVER the paints (G-APAA the AA Version) will be released in the next day or so
Peter W normally does the initial paints using the beta version but doesnt release until Dave has published the final version (which he just did) so at present only G-ANXC the red and cream paint is available, but patience the AA paint and others are on the way.
