BAe146-100 Series

Post by Plymouthair »

Hi All,

Seeing as there is an increasing demand for the BAe146, plus I couldn't find a model of the 100, I thought I'd share and show some images of the current progress to my freeware BAe146 model. The 100 seems to have taken quite a back seat in FS with either models of it being cancelled or not released or even, not made. So far it's very simple and alot of the cockpit detail hasn't been modelled, please keep critisim to a minium else I'll be going back rather than forward, the same kind of process I'm experiancing with my scenery design at present, constructive ofcourse is welcome, Its also my first "real" model.

Anyway - onto the positives, I hope to have the model out soon, please don't bug me for release dates as I simply don't have a scooby, please ask about progress, if not then it's likely i'll forget about it and it won't be released :-O

I aim to include a Virtual Cockpit, but that'll be intime, lets just focus on the general modelling first, think i'll lose enough hair over the external side as it is, I'm luckily enough to live within a 40min drive of Exeter airport, allowing me to collect various images that I need to keep the project moving, for those that don't know Exeter is FlyBe's "graveyard" I intend to also do the BAe146 CC.2, the Queens Flight Variation, it'll be released with several liveries, I hope to include BA, FlyBe, Star Peru and Transwede, I'm probably getting ahead of myself here, lets just get the model finished shall we :thumbsup:

Thats probably enough chatting for time being, now for a preview;

Many thanks for reading !

Regards,

Piran.

Ah, an excellent choice to start with. :thumbsup:

I always liked the baby of the fleet and would love to see the 100 series in the various house liveries. RE the panel, you could use Matthias Lieberecht panel as a starter for 10. Its a very accurate representaion and would allow you to focus on the exterior models first. :)

Is that the BAe Panel project panel ?

The 100 has always been my preferred choice, was never keen on the stretched 300 series, and not sure if i intend to do that model at this stage.

Not yet sure what FS version these are for yet, I'll take that as it comes...

The windows are done, the next job is to work on the "crease" then start construction of the rear fuse;

Nice work. Looks like it will be a good model when finished.
