Hi Garry

I think the bgl you are looking for is JERSEY.BGL which is in a file TZ30.ZIP There are fixes in that download for other areas but you only need to extract that one file to fix CI

Add it to Addon Scenery>>Scenery folder it all CI airports show GMT

hope that helps
kind regards
Simon

I should really trawl trough all my back up disks I keep in a big box labelled 'Can't be arsed'.......bound to be in there somewhere

Trouble is..if I see it will I recognise it?? :worried: *-)

Sorry Nigel.............not being a lot of help :'( apart form saying there is a fix for what I know about and will try and track it down. :cpu:

Whether or not it will help you I can't say, but hopefully it will.
Gary, appreciate your help but you don't need to go through your 'Can't be arsed' box. :) I must have applied a fix at some point. I went to Guernsey at 16:00 and it was dusk - full night arrived at 16:50 according to the set time screen. I then went to Stanstead and found it to be the same. So my CI appears to be in sync with the UK mainland. Looks like I am all sorted now. Thanks to everyone else who posted also.

Thanks to Simon for tracking down the 'patch'' Timezone 3.0 by Dennis Thompson can also be found at Avsim. That is where I got my fix (ages ago) for the Channel Islandss and why that was never the problem. See my first message for the original problem and the solution.

I think there was some confusion when the thread got sidetracked by the patch issue. What was good about that is it solves a different problem that some of us may have had - it corrects timezones in many different areas that MS screwed up. If you don't fly in those areas you may never notice but if it happens to be one of your fav areas and you are aware of the correct time there. it can solve a nagging problem for you.

I can hijack threads with the best of them and many times it is just to be silly! In this case it was very beneficial.
