2010 Hawk

Post by ukmil »

Flt Lt Tom Saunders is the 2010 Hawk display pilot. The 2010 Scheme is being umasked on Jan 4th! UKMIL have been sent the designs early, so we can paint Rick's Excellent hawk to be released at the same time. We will also be doing the skin for the UKMIL and IRIS hawks, and will be the official FS skin as listed on the Hawk Display website

this is as much as I can show you at present, but look back on Jan 4th

Nice.....but a waste of taxpayer money on something not needed....any aircraft should be doing it's job in the proper military paint for putpose and any displays..... then just pinch the closest ones and show them how they really are. *-)

this is an argument that has raged on another forum, and I am not wanting to get into it. There is a point to these aircraft, for recruitment, but not all, like yourself agree to them.

Ther is no point, RAF personel don not join becuase the aeroplane is a pretty colour.

It is just an image thing, but lets spend money on that rather than the real job where lives are at stake.

If they were truly comitted to cut costs that would be the first thing to go, but like everything else nowadays, the image and the play things have priority.

But if it does exist......you might as well paint it

You would be suprised, I know a few guys who work in the AFCO. and a LOT of business is done via airshows and aircraft visits, and the kids love the painted jets

I like the look of it I must say. The whole funding argument is much bigger... where do you draw the line. Anyway, not here to argue about that, but it looks like a nice scheme :xsmile:

Have you been un-banned from painting IRIS products then?

TBH Jason.. anyone can paint any model they like as long as it's for personal use or in the case of the 'ever present' UKMIL vs Iris war.. do not upload it. Odd that we've not seen you for yonks but when UKMIL post this, you're here 8) Please.. do your squabbling in private ;) We don't have an issue with UKMIL here and neither do we have one with IRIS. 'Tis the season of goodwill so let's keep it that way or I'll personally ban all parties concerned :xdeer:

I was only asking a question, no need to jump down my throat. Im very dissapointed in your response Dave. :(

If its for personal use then why announce it? I was only asking as UKMIL have/had? been banned from doing any IRIS work and all i wanted to know if that had been lifted, thats all, nothing else...

i shall no longer post on CBFS from now on then since this is your attitude.
