Re: Britannia/CL-44 Cockpit 2D.
Did not get to Bournemouth as it was blowing a gale and pouring with rain, so no market trip. Plan to go on my own this week, reckon the only way I can check to see if it is still there is by going on to the North side of the airfield.
Checked with the plane spotters who keep abreast of things and they have not shed any light, although it may now be owned by a Russian company.
Will report soon.

Update on the Guppy at Bournemouth. She is still in one piece but nobody is allowed access to the aircraft until the ongoing legal wrangle over unpaid bills is sorted out.
However, I do believe once that is done, I will get access to the aircraft (via a third party) for the pics we need.
There is a bid on the table for the aircraft at the moment.

Re: Britannia/CL-44 Cockpit 2D.
Cheers for that.
It would be nice to see her saved
There is a derelict CL-44-6 (Yukon) in Uraguay but apart from that I think this is the only other frame left, unless the is something still extant in Africa which seems not to be the case now

Hi Garry,
I took just a few pictures at Kemble on colour slide but they are probably not as good as Dave B's, or at least won't be by the time they have been scanned.
On the CL-44 front, have you seen http://www.airliners.net/photo/First-In ... y/0167219/ ? This probably isn't quite what you need, but I found it a good work of reference for my never finished and long-abandoned CL-44 panel project.
Best wishes,
John

Re: Britannia/CL-44 Cockpit 2D.
HI John
Yep seen that one
It's not reference pics I'm looking for but pics to use for the 2D cockpit views so have to be specific angles and matching quality etc......in other words especially taken for that sole purpose
Fraser has made a panel for this model
What sort of pics are the Kemble shots??

They are fairly close views of the dials, mostly, not really from angles you would want to use in an FS panel, I'm afraid.
Best wishes,
John
