My modest first repaint.

Post by Paul K »

Now that I've got a computer that can start and finish loading FSX in the same calendar week, I thought I'd dabble. This is the Aerosoft Beaver for FSX, and uses Jim Hodkinson's excellent bare metal template. My one-aircraft airline will shortly be commencing operations in the Papua New Guinea area using Pacific Islands Sim scenery and Air Hauler.

Nothing terribly spectacular, but I'm quite chuffed with it, particularly the anti-glare panel on the cowling. :)

Too many jump in the deep end and get frustrated

That is , by far, the best way to go about it :)

Garry, I had to give up on Elements and install an old copy of Photoshop 5.5 in the end. Even so, I might still migrate to GIMP, because it has great support on the web.

Cheers Dave. I might add a white roof to the fuselage, but thats about it. Kirkland Aero Services will be operating on a shoestring, and so I'll have to find some second-hand white paint first. ;)

HI Paul

PS 5.5 will give you all you need..no point really on going to Gimp as you know the Photoshop way :)
