To be brutally honest John, I had no idea such a thing existed.
When IE7 hit our shores, I, like many here grabbed the download and installed it. Doing nothing more than open IE7, I immediately noticed the blurred small text (the larger stuff wasn't so bad). I wasn't alone then so I uninstalled IE7 and went back to 6. Years down the line, we have IE8 which I also tried with exactly the same result so off it came. I wish to god I'd uninstalled IE7 earlier on this pc (the new one) but I now get a warning that things may not work with IE7 uninstalled so that's the only reason it's still here. As an alternative, I tried Firefox and this was pinsharp from the word go.. like IE6!!
As a by the by.. I'm seeing exactly the same jaggies as DM is, that is.. which ones are worse than others. Whatever it is mate, it's directly associated to IE7 and 8.. that or M$ don't give a toss if half of their users see blurred text
