I've had the FFS SAAB for quite a while running on FS9. On my system FS9 runs under Windows XP and I have FSX running under Vista. I can't get the 340 to run properly in FSX sadly but I can live with that. Now the strange thing is that yesterday I decided to run FS9 from my Vista system. I loaded the 340 and lo and behold, an autopilot annunciator appeared in the EADI Never seen it before whilst running under XP and I must say it is quite useful considering that the indicators on the autopilot panel are just about illegible! Question is, why do I get the annunciator on the EADI if I run under Vista but not XP? It's using all the same files in the same folders so nothing is different, only the op system.
I guess that there's no FFS users around here. Shame cos once you get used to the quirky panel setup it flies really well. Anyhow after this years brainwave occurred (yes I get one every 12 months) I thought "fonts", as you do! I copied the font set from Vista into XP and solved my problem, well the SAAB's EADI problem anyway
