MyTrafficX - any users out there?
Considering a traffic programme to make FSX a little less lonely, if there is someone who uses MyTrafficX what are your thoughts (or any other traffic programme come to think of it)?
This is kind of appropriate given that tomorrow is supposed to be Black Friday - the worst day of the year for traffic on the roads (again).
Regards,
Chris

Re: MyTrafficX
I've got it, Chris, but its uninstalled at the moment, as is FSX. Fat lot of help that is to you, eh ?
My new computer will be here in the next couple of weeks, and then I will be a 'user' once more.

Thanks Paul - yep on the help stakes that is pretty low
Did you get yours from Aerosoft? If you did, do Aerosoft provide the upgrades you get if you buy it from the author (at a premium)?

Chris

Re: MyTrafficX
TBH I find the WOAI stuff hard to beat... and its free! Works well in my FSX anyway.
Ben.

Re: MyTrafficX
I've had it for a while, and am happy with it overall. Most aircraft that come with it are FSX native, so that does help with the frame rates, and that was probably the main reason I chose this over the free PAI / WOAI type packages. Some of the military models included are rather cr@p, but most airliners are fine.

Chris, I actually won it in a competion on the Aerosoft forum a few months ago, and I haven't even looked for upgrades yet. That will come when I reinstall it, a few weeks hence.
Glad to have been of assistance once again.

Re: MyTrafficX
I'm with Ben on this too, I use the WOAI packages, convert them to FSX, and change all the BMP's to DDS's with ImageTool.exe (eases the FPS-load a little)
Re: MyTrafficX
Thanks for the feedback so far chaps - I did have WOIA for a while but I found the whole thing a bit of a faff - a bit like FSX at times. I know it's hard currency but I'd rather pay someone else to take all the work out of it (basically one of Dave B's favourite sayings - CBA).

Re: MyTrafficX
Seems that MyTraffic X has morphed into MyTraffic 2010! Paul you can upgrade for a fee (19.99 Euros).

Re: MyTrafficX
blimey.. that happened without me noticing. I was only looking at it a few days ago too
Agree Chris, while there are obvious workarounds for AI.. sometimes you just want to see a selection here and there without the hassle. Traffic Tools (which I believe morphed into My Traffic when it grew up) was the ultimate tool before My Traffic but a pain in the butt and easy to cock up
Does 2010 come with versions for both sims or is it 'X' specific??
