Cheers Nige Graphite grease is as common as a really common thing over here but powder is a new one on me. Makes complete sense though. Wonder if I can make my own out of all the pencils I have here

Not as daft as it sounds Dave, when I was at college many years ago we sharpened our draughting pencils to a pinpoint on a piece of very fine wet-and-dry, collected the dust and used it to lubricate working models....applied with a soft brush
I do remember having a puffer bottle of powdered graphite...lasted for years.
I may need to consider a yoke and pedals myself as both of my sticks don't want to calibrate anymore
Luckily it's nearly Christmas
