Why Thorney?

Well whilst in the local (Chichester sqn) ATC, I spent hours and hours pounding the circuit in assorted C-130s and Andovers of 242 OCU and 46Sqn respectively. It annoyed the hell out of Emsworth residents!!

Most was done on Wednesday evenings (from 18.00 to 22.00 with 'hot' crew changeovers) and I really want to fly the circuit myself! After about 3 hours, even the keenest cadet''s heart sink when the throttles are opened up again , just one more before supper circuit!

Tangmere is being done at the same time for similar reasons (heavy low level extractions using dummy pallets, which did the runway no good at all), as well as me being a B licence graduate of 623 Glider School in 1974.

I want to make this a proper project for the winter, so do not expect the finished item for a while.

CAT Hamble and Storrington (South Downs Gliding Club) are next on the the list, all to fit with Horizon VFR FSX scenery.

Guy Diotte has done a Chipmunk for FSX now, I think it was him that did the meatbox?

Anyway just search 'Guy Diotte' and it'll come straight up!

Kind regards
