Captain Sim sale still on.

Post by speedbird591 »

Just a reminder that the Captain Sim sale is still on (as mentioned by Paul last month). I picked up the 707 and 757 for just under a tenner each. Lovely :)

That's good value.....for a nice 757. :)

The British titles are the wrong style though :-O

Wrong style.. it poked my eye out before I'd got that far

Don't worry Garry. There's an extensive paintkit for the 75' so Ian will have that title changed in no time  To my thinking.. we could sneak just about that far on the VA as to my mind, the end of BA Red Tail saw the end of the classic era. Now, please excuse me while I run for the bunker before the 'Classic Brit Police' come for me

Ironic that most of the old geezers at Brooklands worked on the 757 at some point before retirement and had PeterM stayed on, his next ticket would've been the 757. Of course.. had Peter had more service time left.. he may well have been based around Terminal 4 on the bent nail ;)

TBH Dave..all the lettering and logos are wrong on that which spoils things :((

Funny how the 757 became the mainstay being an extensive redevelopment of the 727 they wanted all along

To be fair, that's not a Captain Sim paint. It only comes with the World Flags or the Chatham Dockyard for BA and I really wanted a red tail. That was the only one I could find on Avsim. I thought it didn't look quite right so I was expecting someone to point it out

I don't think I'll be attempting a correction though, Dave. My talents lie elsewhere. I'm not quite sure where, yet ... 8) The pack does come with a nice Air China model so I think you may find me out in the Far East - as usual

TBH Dave that would just come in

A classic in it's own right it is old enough to be excused a place here yet modern enough to please the younger member who see that as an airliner of their time :)

Looks like we're going to have to get Ian painting :worried:

Ian..you can't hide :hide:

I'll have a look at what paints I have for it (I usually fly it in DHL Cargo) ;)

EDIT..
No Ian, I don't have a Red Tail livery for the 75' and only saw the one you've found. A nice 'first project' for someone *-)

Yes indeedy, what a bargain the 727 for FSX was. The 40 Euros I saved will go towards the 2000 Euro computer I now have to buy to fly it !

I really like the CS 707 despite it's age. It's uncomplicated and easy to fly without reading the manual. I managed to get it into Kai Tak on the second time of trying.

Here's a still ...

and here's the video ...

This is a Captain Sim paint bundled with the aircraft. Looks a lot more realistic than the 757. I think :worried:

Ian :)
