Beverley individual engine starts

Post by Rich »

Hi All, I have been trying to get the Transglobal Beverley packed for upload but have a stumbling block, I can't get engines to start individualy on a FE panel I have produced, is there something in the model folder that needs adding to allow individual starts bearing the origional model was for Fs2002 with some updating and a additional heavy drop model done by Rick Piper, starts ok with default auto start !?.

I have tried the FE panel on other 4 engined piston aircraft and it works ok, have messed with Brian Horsey's air file and aircraft.cfg trying to get it to work but to no avail in Fs9 or FSX.

Any Ideas wellcome, I do have the source files passed to me by Ralph Pegram which Rick used

Many thanks
Rich

OK cracked it, individual starts work ok as long as the engines are not stopped by auto stop, messed with the airfile a bit more and the normalized starer torque line in the aircraft.cfg, I know the model has little or no bearing on the flight model.

Just a thought...might be totally way off the mark, but I have had troubles like this with other multi-engined arecreftaircraft.

If you shut down engines (Ctrl + shift + F1), the fuel cocks close, & I have found that going for an individual engine start.....sometimes...the engines will motor but not fire, till the fuel cocks are either opened (if present on panel), or by key shortcut Ctrl +shift + F4).

Good luck with your updates. Its a while since my Beverley saw active service

Lief, The biggest problem at the moment is finding gauges that will work in Fs9 and FSX that will not infringe copyright, 4 piston engine setups are hard to find what is really needed is a good panel beater but be assured when uploaded it will be Pond only

Delticbob I think the best answer is to only shut down using mag switches only for the time being untill the panel is sorted.

She reverses nicely into a parking slot and slows pretty quick with reverse thrust
