I was looking up details on the new SATA 6.0 Standard as I'd seen it on one of the new ASUS motherboards and hadn't heard about it. I found this wiki article realy useful...

Worth noting that even the fastest SATA 2 hard disks can't max out the old SATA 1 150MB/s connections.
