Prop Jockey and his Yak 52.....

Post by Techy111 »

Well i had a great afternoon today seeing as i can't play with my PC and flight simming at the moment...I thought i would go and check out the real thing.... :D

Thanks to Rich for showing me round his old Gal....

She is finally back from her CAA checks and is looking great....but a tad dirty...Sorry Rich.... :worried:

Nice Cockpit shot....sadly only VC....no 2D pit on this bird....

External modelling is very good and in keeping with the real Yak52....

The pilot could have done with some more work and less jaggies....

And i like the detail of the fabric tail....gives it that brand new look....ohhh it is brand new.... :agree:

Hopefully i'll be able to take her to the skies soon and give a full report.... :excited:

Pretty nice... *-) ... although the canopy looks a bit out of scale with the fuselage. Excellent bumpmapping, and the cloud textures look very realistic. ;)

Yup....going to take a sander to the prop to get the correct shape...and the clouds are HiDef textures sets from REX2.0......

Glad you didn't mention the dodgy pilot.... :worried:

Could replace the pilot texture with something more lifelike :hide:

The attention to detail is pretty damn good I reckon - there's even an oil slick under the nose !

'A tad dirty' ? You are the master of understantment Tony - its filthy ! Although it doesn't look as bad as it is in those pics - I like your camera

Nice one of the re-covered rudder too - by the time the Yak community have seen that they'll all want one (just to explain - the whole thing is going to be repainted in late Oct - so when the rudder was recovered its just been left in white primer in preparation for that).

Fingers crossed we can catch up later in the week for part II. Now I know it flies right way up and in a straight line, we can, errrrr how should I say it ........... explore the rest of the flight envelope ??

Cheers

Rich
