New Saab 340 by Premier Aircraft Design

Post by virginblue »

Premier Aircraft Design has released a Saab 340 for FS9 and FSX:

The base pack includes the Loganair/Flybe livery.

Have not installed it yet, but from the pictures on the website the windows look a bit strange. As you will be aware of, FS9 alternatives are Mike Stone's Saab 340 and an updated model by FFG.

Some repaints have been announced at premaircraft.com, so let's wait and see if some examples from the British Isles will be included. Operators in the past have included:

Aurigny livery for our Saab 340B is in the works and other UK liveries will be done in time.

Although I'm a Brit I have to spread my painting efforts to cover the whole world ... ;)

Nice to see the 340 getting an airing thanks Bob, my only point is the windows are too high on the fuselage?? Can this be fixed, other than that its a beaut :)

Great news, Bob.

May I humbly suggest to focus on those liveries "the competition" does not offer: British Midland Commuter, Business Air, Manx Airlines and Birmingham Executive Airways. :hide:

P.S.: As per my thread starter, I agree that the windows should be adjusted.

I'm not familiar with the Argus version, I'll find out what's involved in modifying our model and maybe it will be possible.

The windows on our model are a tad too high on the fuse. My design partner is away on a well deserved vacation so I can't commit to being able to move them, we'll look into it when he returns.

With holes cut in the model I don't think it's a simple case of 'drag and drop' with the mouse to move them.

I guess it's up to the modeller but to change the cut out windows now would be a big task

There is the exterior fuse the interior fuse the glazing and any window thincknesses plus exterior and interior textures will need changing.
