Wow, I would have said the opposite was true, not because of anything to do with stability, but because of the spool-up time of the single Avon engine coupled with the inability to use speed breaks when the gear is down. These two issues compound each other. Of course, its still easy to land her on a carrier, just more challenging than the F-18 I reckon. Just my 2p!

I find the Hornet a nightmare. maybe I'm just used to having more control.... The hornet feels like you have none as it tries to do everything for you :worried:

Same. Its a even bigger pain for me cause I'm flying it on the mouse so when Itry to correct it, I overcorrect sending it into the sea, the carrier (the wrong bit of it) or the sky :(

Plus I know what the hunter handles like as I've had the FS9 Hunter for about 2 years so I'm used to it.

I haven't tried the single seater yet............I must do so. Thanks for the heads up :D .

I've only tried the Hornet once and that was enough. There are some models where you're never quite sure who's in charge.. a tag I couldn't put at the Hornet as I don't think I was EVER in charge

Jon..
I know it's money but if you want a really GOOD FSX carrier aircraft.. seek out the Skysim Sea Vixen ;)

The nose gear on the twins is further back than the single seaters. Combine that with the fact that I forgot to adjust the launch bar position for the T's :$ and that's probably the reason it nose-dives on launch

I also managed to cock up the model for the T8 by leaving part of the gun off :wall:

Totally managed to mess this release up :((

@ DaveG: Dave, its freeware! aka not perfect and something you've given up your time so that we can enjoy it for free. Everyone makes mistakes and trust me, they're only minor in the grand scheme of things and I doubt the majority of people will notice it anyway!

Yer I think I've got the latest one. I only got it last Saturday :S I'll redownload it anyway.

Just thought, could it be because I go to Ark Royal when she's stationary?

Ah!!! Are you using her as a scenery rather than AI?

Mine is the same if I land on her while she is at anchor or going full steam ahead, but then she isn't a scenery which could explain the contact points. Must be a nightmare trying to land on her if she is stationary as you need the 20knots of her speed to make a decent landing if you see what I mean.... helicopters on the other hand... stationary is much easier lol
