2006 Repaint of the B200....Apologies but this is the open U/C model....as soon as they release the closed U/C version i'll swop paints...

British but still classic - Some time ago I asked Tony if he would do a paint of the Aer Turas DC4 EI-ARS -- it was meant for
consumption only by the VA over at The Pond -- but I have put it up for general consumption knowing that many of the senior members here will remember it wandering in and out of places like Liverpool, Coventry,Cambridge,Luton and Brum carry everything from Bloodstick to the Irish Mail.

Thanks Tony - the Aer Turas DC-4 is a lovely paint. Did they really spell "independent" with an "a"?

I think it looks great - I was particularly impressed by the wide range of viewing angles before any jaggies appeared.
Will you be doing the 'hockey stick' livery?

The angles without jaggies is to do with the fact the subject does not have fine lines on it and your macines capability.

It's not to do with the way it's painted

I am happy to take your word on that, but for the same model I have a number of paints by a variety of artists; some of them will only show me clean edges in a level, side-on view and some like Tony's show clean edges at all sorts of angles even on the difficult multi-curved surfaces. These are all very similar paint schemes - no narrow lines, cheatlines pretty much the same height, just in different colours. The model is the same, the computer is the same, the screen is the same. The only thing different is the artist, so it must be either technique or software.
I have noticed the same thing with other aircraft models as well. I always try to get screenshots that show the artist's work looking its best, but sad to say, with some repaints it is well-nigh impossible. Whatever the reason, Tony's stuff looks good and some work by some other artists doesn't.

Some painters may produce jaggies on their paints but most painyers like the ones on this sitye have clear sharp paints, but jaggies will occur because of fine detail lines on the subject.

Painters causing jaggies are the eception rather than the rule....here at least.
