International Auster Club

Post by nigelb »

Found this site which may be of interest: http://www.austerclub.org/index.htm

Also check out this page: http://www.austerclub.org/club_stuff/aircraft_tales.htm

Scroll past the flight attendant story (which is also amusing) and there are some gems of exchanges between ATC and pilots on that page. I loved the conversations from Munich and Frankfurt ATC.

I'm a member and have been for a number of years. We're all nice people and if you are interested in Austers, then its the club to be in! We hold a number of fly-ins around the country during the year (trying to get our non-pilot members in the air) and have a superb magazine too. For more information have a look at the website.

Edit: Ten days ago we took four Austers out to the Island of Gigha off the coast of Scotland. An Epic trip from Darkest Devon!!
