I've always read to use Trliniear..so what is the difference between that and Bilinear.???

I am on 4X. AA any more and I run into trouble and when frequently changing liveries and models to check progress on my work it is more than a bl@@dy nuisance when I can see the aeroplane :@

In fact sometime I make the selection to see a change an the selection view tells me all I want where as FS is a nuisance as I can't look underneath so easily and FS Repaint and ACM will show the paint but not how FS displays it. So it is a major thorn in the rear end not to have the select aeroplne, but I would like more AA. :dunno: :brick: :brick:

Of course just to us FS I can select simply by the list name but that's like eating cake without icing :-( .......just anoys me.

I read an article a few years ago on the differences between Bilinear and trilinear and the jist of it was that although Trilinear was in theory marginally better, it was such a hit on the card that, in FS, it was best to use Bilinear to give better overall experience. i must admit i tried both and couldn't see a visual difference between them.

Ah.. the old missing aircraft window  It all started back in the days of the 6000 Nvidia series (the 6600GT was the first time I saw it) and it remains to this day with the 6800GT. There are ways around it of course. You can go to windowed mode rather than fullscreen and all your aircraft will display in the window. Another alternative is to fart around with the AA but it often only gives successful results with low settings.. which is where I am. I'm sure there are other ways around it but none spring to mind as I type
Unusual that it should only JUST start happening.. unless you've been running FSX and have your card setup for that sim. What works for the goose isn't necessarily good for the gander :)

Hi, just to let you know if you grab the latest version of the GR4 from Flightsim.com or Simviation.com it has the autosweep disabled as this function was taken out on version 4.1 IIRC...

At a guess Jim.. it's linked to a gauge. I don't think I ever got up to v4 so I can't check but have a look in the panel.cfg for something that looks like Autosweep and rem it out. Of course.. the problem then is.. how do you sweep the wings back manually  I can't remember Autosweep being a product of that model.. think UKMIL had advised many times that it wasn't on the real aircraft.. but it's been a long time and I may be talking about the wrong model
