CBFS keeps crashing my IE 8!

In the rare window I get from being banned by the anti-spam system here :roll: , I would like to know if anyone else has had problems with the front page (the one with the random screenshot) crashing their browser. This keeps happening since I started using IE8, which I got last week.

I don't get and I don't have 8 that but I do have IE7 on this laptop and it crashes regular on various sites and when putting in a word for Googling.

I wish I could put 6.4 or whatever tha last 6 was as the never versions seem to cause too much trouble.

Firefox, just use firefox then you're not stuck with the un-holy kludge of proprietary standards that IE has inflicted on the world. Although I do believe there's a button in the IE8 address bar that forces it in to a compatibility mode to work with sites coded to older standards, it looks like a sheet of paper torn in half I think.

I have Firefox and don't like it especially the tabs :@

But that's not the point.......I want IE to work properly and it should.

What I really want is to have the older version on here.

No.. I don't like the 'tabs' part of Firefox either mate but lucky for me.. I only use Firefox on the newer pc and then, only on sites that have stopped supporting IE6. I'm on the main pc at the mo and this still uses IE6.5.. for me the best of the bunch. It does what I want, when I want and is faster than all of the others. It doesn't have a load of crap offerring me 'Live' this and 'Live' that or RSS or BBC or ABC e t c. ;-) Pity your load of Windows had IE7 as the base :-(

Take no notice of them, Trev. In answer to your question, I've been using IE8 for a few months, almost exclusively, and I ain't had no crashes with CBFS or any other sites. It works quickly and efficiently and it's my browser of choice; but I do use Vista which is what it was optimised for. Don't know which OS you're using?

I'm having a few problems with IE8. Odd stuff, like the pop-up blocker blocking pull-down menus on the BBC News website. And locking up when I go to the pop-up blocker settings. And me having to log into all the sites I've visited today, which are normally saved. Oh, and it's slower than IE7, which I had no issues with. I think it's going to have to go. If it will let me.

Mine do ... I run it on all four Vista (auto-updated) laptops in our household without any problems. I just wondered if using it with XP causes the problems.
