Vulcan for RIAT

Post by speedbird591 »

RIAT have announced that the Vulcan is displaying this year. No news yet as to whether it will be a solo display or whether it will be in formation with the Victor ;-)

The static VC10 will be there as usual. Tonks - will you be putting in a personal appearance this year?

Wonder what the wind and rain will be up to on that weekend  As John McGuinness (HM Plant Honda) says.. you can change your pants, but you can't change the weather! :o

I'll be there this year, HQ Air Cadets are buying an 'Engagement Trailer' and RIAT will be it's first outing. It'll have several PCs running FSX, I'll be setting up on the Thursday, departing Monday and I'll be there for all the public open days.

Courtesy of Damien Burke on UKAR:
If various factors cooperate I hear a mid afternoon flight tomorrow is likely, landing at Brize.

Oooh! Will you be able to perform marriages as well, Jim?

I'll be there on the Saturday if I get the leave or the Sunday if I don't. Either way, I'll pop in and see what you're up to!

Hah! You mentioned the TT first! The coverage this year is fantastic from ITV4. I've never seen such good shots and the ones from those high motion 600 fps cameras are unbelievable. With Steve Parrish and Jamie Whittam they've got the dream commentary team. Ago and Rossi riding the course on Monday. And yesterday's supersport race was one of the best TTs I've ever seen. Incredible.

Hopefully, that means she will be good for Cosford on Sunday :)
