Hi,
I'm new to CBS, and trying to fly my first type rating flights.
All was going well, I booked the flight, started FS9, started the FSairlines client, selected fly now, and got a message in red that flight simulator wasn't started. Which it was.
I closed down FS9 then re-started it, got the same message. I'm using FSUIPC 3.9, as recommended.
Does anyone have any ideas if I'm doing something wrong, or what to do next ?
Cheers, Alan Ramsay

Hi Alan,
I've moved this down to the VA forum. I guess you've sussed out what you needed to do as I see you've completed your first flight.
Regards
John

Re: Can't connect
Hi Alan..
If this was last night.. I had similar. With only a short space of time to get the flight in, I dashed up to the toyroom.. started the sim then went to open the Client which didn't open. It eventually came up and said flightsim wasn't started.. then it reported no flight booked! I tried getting into FSA and couldn't so they must have been down for a short time. Popped back an hour later and all was working fine ;-)
This happens from time to time and is frustrating. Fortunately, it doesn't happen often so we just live with it

Actually, it was very simple.
I fly FS9 in administrator mode, and have to open the client software the same way so that they connect.
As you saw, all sorted now, and on we go, hopefully.
Cheers, Alan

Excellent Alan. It won't stop the client going down or FSA for that matter but at least you found the problem and sorted it ;-)
