TSR2... model

Re: TSR2... model
My one arrived in the post yesterday. It's a BIG aeroplane in 1:48! I'm going to build it as one of the three prototypes, but at some point in the future I may see if I can pick up another one and do a "what if" in an operational RAF scheme.
The two best tools in any engineer's inventory are brute force and ignorance and he should always live by the engineer's motto "Bodge it and scarper!"

Did you build it? They go for daft money on ebay occasionally.Fodda wrote:Good Lord! I wasn't expecting that. I bought the Airfix limited edition 1/72 TSR2 that came out a couple of years ago.

Errrr... I have to admit, I did not. I't still in its box stashed away somewhere. I did open the plastic bags to look at the detailing though. Will have to check ebay I think... Although it is a lovely plane, and the plan was to buy for building rather than as investment.Hot_Charlie wrote:Did you build it? They go for daft money on ebay occasionally.

I've got the 1/72 model, started but not yet finished. Got some alternate decals to do a "what-if" Gulf War variant. Should be good once I get around to finishing it..
