Yeh.. the museums 1-11 was MikeFox which could have been saved had there been a little more get up and go from certain quarters :-( Ah well.. there it was, gone :roll:

God.. I really am in need of the opticians. Saw the Wessex but missed the wording above In answer to the obscure question.. since when did RAF rescue helicopters have the hump on the back housing the dipping sonar?? Rule 1.. do not take what you see in a museum to be matter of fact ;-)

You got it Dave.....she was at Halton and aquired those colours god knows why...she was an airframe test bed for the RN but never joined them...and the RAF never had a sub hunter with the RAF rescue Sqn.... :roll:
Whilst sat in the "pit" i saw a switch for sonabuoy cut away....
