OK Dave...I've just found an unused apron at Edinburgh Xtreme, so I'm just sending the Aeros Team in on a Saturday (they do Belfast on Thursdays)...My excuse is that they are up there to do a display at a local trade fair

I tried something similar today using the UK2000 Hawk AI (comes with part flying a shortish hop from Valley and could I get em to work as I wanted... NO! For some unknown reason Hawk2 always fires up first, then 1 followed by 3 and 4. I'd not checked the parking entries which didn't really matter as 2 of the aircraft disappeared :o I reset the flight to after landing time at Aldergrove and found all 4 parked nicely in the GA slots Added MIL_COMBAT then checked again and they park all over the b1oody shop at Aldergrove. At this point.. I decided to give up on 4-ship formations It seemed like a nice idea at the time but I can't be fussed to pursue it further ;-) I'd much sooner watch your Hunters anyway

BTW.. is your Edinburgh the Xtreme version too??

If you were flying them at low level then it could have been too low...When they appear in space the program looks at the time (I usually use 7 minutes before due on flightplan, but remember at low level they are restricted to 250 knots and they may be a bit late so if not apparent then try 6 mins or just wait till they appear), and then it works out where to put them in space...If they are in the ground at that point then they all disappear...My Hunters are over the sea at that point so I get away with 300 feet...Then when the coast or hills come up they will pull up to maintain clearance (I'm talking about VFR FlightPlanning but if the weather is bad they will file an IFR plan and then you can forget all this as they will be climbed to whatever ATC say). I've been getting into Aldergrove over the last few gloomy days VFR. I suspect that your two that vanished appeared in space to close to terrain.

Yes it is Edinburgh Xtreme and I have succeeded in VFR from Stradishall by flightplanning at 1500 feet (300 feet caused all four to crash instantly on appearance). :flying:

Hi Peter..

I just read your previous post again and noticed you said Edinburgh Xtreme :roll: :brick: You'll all be thrilled to know that SWMBO is organising an eye test for me this coming week (my near vision has now gone beyond the length of my arm before coming into focus :-( ) so excuses for missing things will be null and void

Re the Hawks.. Proximity to terrain isn't the issue with them Peter.. perhaps the opposite. It was a rush job anyway so I threw FL100 in there for want of something to put 3 and 4 were late to takeoff so I nipped in after 2 and 1 had departed and followed them at around 4nm. No.3 came zipping past me (very impressive though why I can't fathom out as I was already at cruising speed with the others) and it all went pear shaped from there I started up 10mins before departure too to avoid any complications with the departure time. I may have another look but I'm having another go at getting my dualcore pc up to the standard of my old XP3200 as it is markedly quicker.. especially around the airports with gallons of AI and it seems a pity not to be using it ;-)

Good luck with the eye test...Note that if either of your parents had diabetes then your eye-test is free...Still wrestling with the Edi AFCAD at the moment so will probably let you have both AFCADs and the Traffic file when Edi :flying: working properly.
