Re: Viscount problems
Obviously Gary's AI traffic knows when it is in the presecence of Royalty -- took the 800 out and gave it a shot -- Using WoAI traffic -- they all ignored the poor old girl. :-(

Re: Viscount problems
Hi Gary, and welcome
This has always happened to me on the 700 but not on the latest 800s. I don't think the 700 was ever fixed either.
Generally my AI are missing control surfaces and various other bits when sitting in a 700 with the lights on. I think it happens on the Herald too which is another old model.
cheers
Fraser

Re: Viscount problems
I just had a look at the date on the readme for the 700 Fraser and it's 7/12/02! :o Where the heck have all the years gone
Tried again to duplicate the 'lights' prob this time looking from the inside out (something I didn't check before) and still, CalClassics AI refuses to budge or lose bits. Until such time as Rick revisits the 700's.. I think this is something those having the issue will have to live with I'm afraid.

Re: Viscount problems
Hi Gary, just had a look in my hanger and don't have the 700 series anymore as the 800s' were updated some time ago by Frazer for the VA, you might be better off with the 800s' until the 700s' are updated.....if and when that is!!
Go here for the 800's:-

Re: Viscount problems
Certainly more V.800 options for Southend than V.700 amoung the availiable paints at least.

Guys, Thankyou so much for your feedback, i downloaded the Viscount 800 from the link you gave me and no more problems with my ai, the old 700 has gone into mothballs so now i can cover many miles with the Channel Airways and BAF 800s which i spent years watching when i grew up....well i thought i grew up until i met flight simulator

Re: Viscount problems
Hi Gary
I'm also glad to see you fixed
I have painted a lot of V.800 including many variations of BAF (hoops varied in position and size for example). I don't have the VA pack so I'm not sure which ones have ben used but a check of CBF will bring them up.
All are on SimV and FlightSim.com but not all are on Avsim as I found them rude :@ so stopped uploading there.

Re: Viscount problems
I used to have this problem (in fact, I found the some of the AI folded up on themselves too) but I'm sure this was fixed with a new version of the model files from Rick but it was a long time ago. I certainly haven't seen it for some time.
My current 700 and 700D model files are dated 30/8/05.
John
Update - Reference to this issue by me, and the replacement by new models is discussed here:
http://cbfsim.org/cbfsim/cbfsBB/viewtop ... 4&start=15
Unfortunately the link to the new models no longer works. It would seem that if you don't have airstairs on the model when the engines are shut down, you need to update. If nobody can find the update I'm happy to supply, but I don't want to tread on Rick's toes.
