Springs a-coming!

Post by forthbridge »

Well, on and off it is, in Glacier Bay. The cruise ships are back, and every now and then, the murk lifts.... so what better excuse to take the Sea Devon up from Skaggy? A 'high performance' climb is the general regulation here, and the old girl was no problems....

Luurveley screenies, Jim Image

I'm quite taken by that Glacier Bay scenery, although I'm not sure if I can be *rsed to install it

Anyway, I love Alaska and was so inspired by your shots that I thought I'd see if REAL aircraft could fly into Skagway :worried: You'll be pleased to know that it is quite possible so you don't need to be so timid with your aircraft  Mind you I haven't tried to get out yet! Might have to remove the seats!

Sorry about the drab scenery.

:o :o
Is that the default Skaggy Ian? I've never actually seen it :o

(nice approach tho!)

Judging by the way M$ has the scenery there, if you get the standard heading T/O, you'll need to get a launch tower contructed!

And, don't worry... Skaggy has already been graced by the Queen of the skies :flying:

Mmmm. Not a patch on your add-on is it?

How complicated is it to install? Is the airport included in the scenery or is that another add-on? And one more question. The VC10 is landing on Rwy 20 but I can't see any buildings on that side in your shots of the Sea Devon. Is that different scenery? It looks fantastic, anyway!

Nice screenies Jim.
I use Skagway in Glacier bay scenery as a base for a lot of flying using mostly Cub and Beaver amphibs. For a freebie scenery it is superb

Just the angle of the shots Ian.

It's a breeze to install. There's even a compatibility wizard for any add ons you (may) have. There are various add on airfields (including Peter's) - but Skagway, Juneau, Haines (to name only three) are all included.
EDIT
These are older screens
