Latest in ongoing saga. Flew the final leg of the B707 TR. Got as far as Amsterdam control and FS9 froze. Error out of memory. Flew it solid this morning for 6.5 hours without problem.

Sorry for not replying before but most of the posts/replies have concerned possible scenery problems - I've only just noticed your mention of the 'out of memory' message. I run Vista 32 with FS9 and often found that FS refused to boot with the same message. I have very little add-on scenery and no mesh.

The solution (I found through a google search) was simply to increase the paging file size. System\Advanced System Settings\Advanced (tab)\Performance\Settings\Advanced (tab)\Virtual Memory\Change Then select the appropriate drive, choose a max and min Custom size and OK. Mine is set for 3067-4067 but I can't for the life of me think why I chose those numbers

The important thing is that it cured the problem. It's worth a try and easy to reset if it doesn't work.

Ian :)

Thats a great idea, page files are something I forgot about! I know in XP they can be adjusted so give it a go and let us know how it goes

I have given up trying to remedy the situation and started to re-install the sims. Seems to not crash, but I am now getting a MSN Money.com login come on which will not go away and keeps preventing me clicking on the panel controls with the mouse.
