Yes, nice shots. I remember the Abingdon airshows in 82/83, we were driving slowly along the perimeter track under the wings of those VC10s to get to the car park. Shame I was too young to appreciate them better. They were coated with a preservative layer in latter years - which attracted all the dirt! In '83 they were wrapped in giant 'bags', which were then ripped to shreds by gales!
I also vaguely remember one display flying there - a VERY rare event! :o

It was intended to restore it to Conways and return to the RAF, but the rear end was disrorted by the end of trials and it was parted out at Kemble before scrapping
