Auster Autocrat

Post by Bridon Bear »

Just thought I would post a few shots of Dave Molyneaux's Auster for FS9. I have repainted it in the early colour scheme that G-AGTO used to be in showing the large registration letters on top and bottom of the wings. The Auster Autocrat logo on the tail was redrawn from a B&W image I found in a magazine....took ages to do that bit.... :o

Keen eyed viewers may note that I have added a slight 'sheen' to the overall finish that adds a tad of luminosity to the undersides as well as giving it that slightly 'used' feel.

I have also re-worked the prop textures to give a more subtle disc with blade shadows visible form both the spot view and the VC views.

EDIT: Apologies for the size of the last shot.....slipped in bigger than I intended... :$

Yes all credit to Dave Molyneaux for providing us with an excellant little model.....I have had the drawings for an Auster here for yonks...so glad to see not one but later on 2 Austers grace our virtual skies.

Must admit the Auster is currently my most flown aircraft... ;-)

Well.. at least one copy went straight away as I downloaded it as soon as it was posted

Note to Brian.. a little something in the cfg to differentiate between GTO's would be nice mate as although it might be obvious to those with good eyesight, I had difficulty seeing which was which in the little 'Select Aircraft' window. Both paints come up as AGTO in the variation window if you get my drift ;-) I've already changed mine so no problemo :cpu:
