Hi, I'm new to the site and really enjoy it. I have worked mostly with X-plane but am starting FSX.
I saw the AVRO 707 on your site so that's why I'm here at least at first. It's not clear to me where I can download this. I did check the FAQs but didn't see anything
Also interested in any 1940's-60's British research aircraft downloads that anyone knows of.
Also looking for the Beverly too.
Thanks and this looks like a great site.

Re: AVRO 707 and other British Research aircraft
Hello and Welcome .
What a nice moniker -- Most of the British experimental aircraft - The DH Swallow - and the like are few and far between
in FS9 and almost NON exisitent in FSX - as to the Beverley - there is one at http://www.classicbritishfiles.com however it is an
FS2002 model upgraded to FS9 standard so Im fairly sure it WONT work in FSX . Sorry

Lief the Beverley works well in FSX, must get off my bum and upload Ricks modification nearly all the old gauges will not work in FSX so a new panel update is needed but I think the update including the panel that Kevin Kellher has on the pond will.

Re: AVRO 707 and other British Research aircraft
It is possible to assemble a very flyable Beverley for FS9, starting with the old FS2002 model and applying Kevin's and Rick's updates. Once you have that, it should be possible to import it to FSX. I don't have FSX, so I have no idea how or if it will work, but most of the likely problems seem to be related to textures and there are numerous fixes on the usual sites.WRX15 wrote:Also looking for the Beverly too
When I say "assemble" I mean exactly that. You need to set up two holding areas, the first for unzipping the files to, and the second for putting the folders & files into the correct structure for FS9. Unfortunately one of the installers does not do what it says it is going to, and the subsequent upgrades do not find a valid structure to install to. Once the structure is correct, you just copy the Beverley folder to your FS9/Aircraft, and it works.
You can read the story of my experience here:

All I can add is, that it is well worth the trouble.
Hope this helps, and good luck
