Overscanning Monitor
I Have a little 'niggle' with my wife's monitor, the problem is that every now and then, it will overscan slightly to the extent that the clock in the lower R/H corner is unable to be read as the minute part of the display is off screen....also you are prevented from clicking the little red cross at top right to close a window all due to the overscanning problem.
Tried everthing and the only solution is to re-boot the PC...then all is fine....until it decides to do it again.
I know it is a cheapy but other than this the monitor performs very well with no dead pixels or anything...just wondered if any technophobes had a solution to this little 'niggle'
The monitor is a 19" GNR widescreen monitor 1440x900 resolution model name: MW19E-AAAD.
Regards

Re: Overscanning Monitor
OK...just found the latest driver on nvidea Version 182.06 dated 18/02/2009 at 115mb.
Will install that and give it a try...the overscan is intermittant but usually troubles us every 2-3 days so will let you know the results.....many thanks for the advice.

Re: Overscanning Monitor
Installed the new driver...no problem there...bang up to date now.
All fine for 3 days then today it overscanned
...a quick reboot sorted it out but the mystery prevails...
The good news is that I have the same graphic card on my PC (non widescreen monitor) so updated mine as well and FSX fr increased by about 20% so well pleased with that.
Maybe one of those things this overscan thingy.... :-(
