Just piddled with it

Rotors move far to slowly - panel needs some work - seems to me I remember listening to people at Shuttleworth
that knew the beastie talking about a "spin-up" feature - where there was a mechanical interconnect with the engine
and rotor that would bring the rotor to speed before they started forward.

The C30 was the first autogyro to make a successful "jump" takeoff. It was also the first to use a tilting rotor, enabling the pilot to have a single control for yaw, pitch, and roll.

Sorry to bump this up again , The Cierva is doing a modest trade at the Pond - Craig also gave permission to upload his slightly dated Sopwith Tabloid
but never the less quite fun the fly (especially on floats) Just remember rotary engines have two speeds -------Full chat - and stopped :) Took me
a while to figure out how the "blip" Carigs model.
