Re: Confessions of a Flightsimer... (Reprise)
That was just one of the large number of reasons that I dumped FSX...I mean WHY change it? Pain in the ar**! A large number of well known keystrokes from FS various were just changed for the sake of change. It was almost as if the "Aces" didn't even know about them :@

Well they introduced a whole lot of new features, including a range of new view options. And by doing so they also renamed the previous functionalities to something more accurate.
Just a matter of getting used to.

it's not that i couldn't read the manual to figure out the move up move down thing in the
reprisal thread Ben started on reinstalling fs9 .. ... ,,,, it's just when I went looking for it in the
control assignments in FSX and started reading the definition I saw 'View (always pan up),
I thunk to myself... I says.... Now that couldn't be it cuz I wants to pan down more often than not...
beside that,. why ohh why would I want to always pan up ? I'd be flying like this >>>>> .. all the time
silly äCes ;-)
like Dan said ......... they didn't do it for :your name goes here: sake,

It's an indication of what the function does. give it a positive number and it pans up, give it a negative it goes "negative up".....
Actually it could also indicate that this function is a "one-way" function, and thus simplifying it. all it takes as input is a 1, with gives it one nudge "upwards"
View pan (always down) would do the exact opposite .....
(it's a programmer thing ......)
