What a memory the boy has! Yes, this was one of my biggest frustrations with FSX, but I eventually cracked it - not just for VC10s!
MS have changed the command in the FSX 2D cockpit view from
'eyepoint (move up)' (the FS9 command) to
'View (always pan up)' . The key strokes are
ctrl+Q (up) and
ctrl+shift+Q (down) or program some buttons.
