Nowt wrong with the car mate.. just that whitewalls make it look immediately foreign (or foreign owned). We did have em over this side of the pond but they're more associated with Al Capone than Austin ;-)

I didn't know you were a Jaguar man, Peter. When did you have an XK 150, and what was it - FHC, DHC or Roadster, 3.4 or 3.8?

Incidentally, I drove one to Lisbon and back last year,a friend's 1957 roadster , and my arms are just about recovering!

I posted it here somewhere but it was an XK150 FHC SE in Cotswold Blue with Chromium Wire wheels and whitewall tyres...I had it for five and a half years. Sadly I have lost all but one transparency and that shows my brother leaning on it :)

I tried out a Cotswold Blue ( my favourite colour for an XK) FHC only about 3 months ago , but sadly couldn't take it on because I had to peer under the windscreen top all the time, which is a perennial problem for me : I have short legs and a very long back . Yours was a lovely looking car

Let's hope 'Superb' is still running for her 50th!

Does anyone have the DVD of the Woodford '91 airshow - or did anyone go? A Vanguard (Merchantman) did a flying display there. I think the DVD is from DD entertainment, or Planes TV...?
