CaptainSim 727 ProPack

Post by WhisperJet »

Hi All,

here's what CaptainSim announces for their 727...
http://www.captainsim.com/products/x727/pro/

Do you think that this will make the CaptainSim model better than Dreamfleet's? I always wanted a 727 in my hangar, been asking around (here as well) for the Dreamfleet 727 and am still hesitating due to its reportedly poor performance... Might the new CaptainSim think be the better alternative soon?

I have tried both, and I feel the Dreamfleet 727 is the better aircraft out of the two ;-)

don't forget HJG 727, I think once they get some teething problems ironed out it will be great

I've got the Captainsim 727 for both fs9 and FSX. I have never tried either the HJG or the Dreamfleet model so I couldn't comment on those, but in terms of the CS one its very good. Detail is good, panels are well designed, and the soundset is tremedous. I dont fly it so much thesedays, but Its still in my hanger as a worthy classic jet.

Be wary with the FSX version though, I bought the 72-200 version, and then found out I had to buy the ACE Texture program seperartly and it wasn't completely finished (This was for FSX and may have changed now). But if its the FS9 version you are on about, its very good as a complete package!

The HJG one is really Vistaliners with a slight re work of the FDE to suit early and late versions of the 100, the 200 will have the FDE revised for early, advanced and Super27. However as good as it looks and I am biased  There is no VC and never will be as far as I cna see, the panel and sounds are at the HJG website. But sadly its free

The CS727 propack is for FSX, the dreamfleet 727 is for FS9. So depending which sim you use FS9 i would go for the dreamfleet 727. For FSX the CS727 will be the first i think, and if its like the 757pro it should be good.
