Problems with EGGP 1967 (CalClassic)

Post by dom1 »

Probably something really stupid I'm forgetting here but...

I'm trying to use the EGGP update files from Tom Gibson that allow you to use the Liverpool (Speke) Old Airport scenery by Paul Derbyshire as a live airport. I had it set up fine on my old PC but now that I try to install it on my new one I'm having an odd problem... Basically, I had the current Liverpool John Lennon airport scenery installed, then followed the readme in Tom's file (EGGP67.zip) to replace this with the old Speke terminal. However, no matter what I do, the new John Lennon airport still shows up :-(

I've not only "inactivated" it in the scenery library, I've also deleted it from there and then moved the actual file folder out of the FS9 directory to another part of the HD. Nonetheless it still appears when I load up FS2004 :o I've tried altering the scenery.cfg file and also looked where the FS9.cfg file lives (where I found another scenery.cfg file!) but nothing I do will make the modern era airport disappear...

Has anybody come across this kind of situation before?

Thanks,

Dom

some scenery needs to be added in order in the FS addon scenery list
maybe something like that,
the Courchevel add on is like that, If is not in order in the list in the scenery library some stuff won't show.

The problem may be that although the terminal should not have been where it now is in 1967, the runway 09/27 was in fact just about opening then. For many years Liverpool then operated with both the main airfield with RW 08/26 and 17/35, and via a link taxiway, the new RW 09/27 .
